Sometimes it's one, and sometimes the other. At the deepest level, it's just something I do, a part of my personality, my character ... yes, and something I have to do.
Yet, the most pleasure that I get from writing is when I have no deadline, no plan, no compulsion to write, but just a warm free-floating desire to sit down and write something, anything. Here I am, with a new blog, and no commitment to writing on a regular basis. Yet this is the third day in a row that I am writing here. Awesome!
One of the things that I have been noticing about my writing life recently, is that I need more writing free time, more writing trigger events, and more fun. My motto for this year, "More fun, less stress in 2013!"
